Spain considered the best country in the world to go on vacation
The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report that the World Economic Forum has been doing for 11 years puts Spain at the forefront of its classification.

This is the second time that Spain reaches this first place. The report, prepared with data from the World Tourism Organization and the World Travel and Tourism Council, attributes the success to its offer of cultural proposals (Spain ranks 2nd) and natural (9th), combined with good tourism infrastructure (2nd), its air connections (9th) and support policies (5th). Among other things, it also highlights the benefit that it has meant for Spanish tourism the instability registered in the Middle East and in areas of Western Europe in recent years.
Now there are also challenges, such as scontinue to improve at a time when the sector has already reached a certain maturity, especially in the field of land transport in which they express their desire for modernization. They also indicate the need to give a boost to the business environment (75º) and define how slow processes to obtain building permits (104º).

The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report has analyzed 136 countries, taking into account key indicators that summarize the context and the situation of the economy in general, and of the travel and tourism sector, in particular. Study, among others, the number of intentional tourist arrivals per year and the expense made by these tourists.
The theme of this year's study, Towards a more sustainable and inclusive future, wants to show the growing interest in guarantee a sustainable growth of the industry that allows to preserve the natural environments and the communities that live in them.
